HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR LEATHER HANDBAG

Because we envision each IRERI handbag being passed down from you to the next empowered woman, we compiled a list of care tips you can resort to, every so often, to extend the life and beauty of your bag. 

The following advice has been tested and recommended by handbag artisans and leather connoisseurs.

    1. Apply leather-specific cleansing milk on your handbag exterior

    2. Using leather-specific foam, dry clean your handbag exterior. Using a semi-soft bristle brush, spread the foam through the handbag’s main body and more hidden parts. Remove the excess material with a soft cloth or a piece of paper towel.

    3. Nourish the leather with a nourishing leather-specific cream. Once applied onto the leather, spread it with a soft cloth. 

    4. For the lining, if in leather, you can follow the same steps (1 to 3). With any other material, we would suggest a lightly scented, textile-friendly spray that helps to neutralize odours. 

    5. If you are planning to not use or store your bag for a certain while, we strongly recommend filling it with some neutral tissue paper to keep it in shape.
